The South San Francisco Unified School District announces a vacancy on the Board of Trustees and is now accepting applications to fill the vacant seat.
The appointment will be made on a provisional, or temporary, basis; the appointee will serve until the next election in November 2016.
The opening on the Board occurred when Trustee Maurice Goodman was elected to the San Mateo County Community College District Board of Trustees Nov. 3.
The South San Francisco Board members agreed on the decision to make a provisional appointment during a special meeting Nov. 19. The vote was unanimous.
Persons interested in applying should note the following timeline:
Wednesday, January 6, 2016, 4:00 p.m. is deadline to submit an application plus two (2) letters of support to the Superintendent’s office. Candidate interviews will be held in a public meeting beginning at 6p.m. Jan. 11 at the District Office. An appointment is scheduled to be made at the Board’s regular meeting Jan. 14 at Baden High School.
