South San Francisco, CA January 20, 2016 Submitted by Chris Vito
Chris Vito posted to our Facebook wall today, of another attempt at a residential break-in in our City.
“My sisters house was a target for burglary thankfully they didn’t get in. Apparently the method of trying to get acess is very obvious with a hammer and flat head screw driver. They gained access from the backyard by jumping the fence. We live near Parkway Middle School.” Chris wrote as he posted this photo.
We asked if he knew what prevented the break in. “It looks like they just gave up.” he told us.

This is yet another reminder to all residents to be watchful of suspicious activities in our neighborhoods and to report to police immediately if we see something out of place. In addition we all would benefit from beefing up our home security, especially entrances from our back yards. Please share this information with your neighbors as you work to keep your blocks safe! ‘My parents are next door to your sister and someone tried to break in as well a couple of months ago! Same method (backyard). They also broke the window to the bathroom but were not able to get in.’
