SSFPD Media Release: Strong Arm Robbery

On Friday, February 12, 2016 at approximately 3:57 p.m., a 69 year old woman was waiting for her bus at Willow Avenue and Grand Avenue in South San Francisco, when a male, who was later identified as Christopher Cook of Pacifica California, approached her from behind. Cook forcefully pulled the elderly woman’s purse, but she resisted his efforts. Cook then forced her to the ground, where he pulled the purse from her grasp and fled the scene.  The victim  sustained minor  injuries as a result of  the robbery. Cook was quickly apprehended and found in  possession  of  the  victim’s property. Cook was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for strong armed robbery.
