On Saturday March 5, 2016 at approximately 10:45 a.m., a 19-year old South San Francisco resident who is an employee of a local business, was walking on Miller Avenue in the area of Cypress Avenue when she was approached from behind by a male subject. The subject unsuccessfully attempted to steal her cellular phone from her hand. The unknown suspect then forcibly grabbed a shopping bag out of the victim ‘s hands and fled the area on Miller Avenue toward Airport Boulevard and was not apprehended.
The suspect is only described as male, approximately 5’09” tall and weighing approximately 150lbs. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the South San Francisco Police Department at 650-877-8900.
