Fundraising Reports Show Strength and Breadth of Support for
Canepa’s Supervisorial Campaign
According to the most recent campaign finance reports filed with the San Mateo County Elections Office, Daly City Vice Mayor and candidate for San Mateo County Supervisor (District 5), David Canepa holds a strong lead in fundraising, having raised $182,149 total to date with nearly $88,000 cash-on-hand, over $26,000 more than his nearest competitor and nearly double the rest of the field.
Fundraising numbers are often used as a measure of the early strength and support of a campaign. And David’s showing here makes him a real force to be reckoned with in this race for District 5’s open Supervisor seat.
“As we near the finish line of this election, we are encouraged by the amount of support we have received. People are excited about our race. With the funds our campaign has been able to raise, we are in a great position to get our positive message out before June 7th,” said Daly City Vice Mayor David Canepa.
David Canepa was elected to the Daly City Council in 2008. He was overwhelmingly reelected in 2012, and he served as Daly City’s Mayor in 2014. In addition, he has served over the last seven years on the City/County Association of Governments, as Vice Chair of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and as Director of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District representing twenty cities.
