The Measure J Bond Program is Moving Forward
- The Board of Trustees dissolved relationship with original program Contractor
- Closeout of work and completion of punch list items are underway
- Reserve funds to close out original construction contract have been set aside
- A new consulting Program Manager was hired and started in February to move program forward
- Project budgets from remaining funds have been developed to complete priority projects
a. $13.5 million budget for projects
- Priority criteria adopted by the Board to complete projects that are already underway
- Buri Buri Elementary where construction has stopped with significant disruption
to the site is to be completed
- Parkway Heights Middle School where only a portion of the buildings were
completed will have a smaller scope of work to modernize an existing classroom
wing and finish site work
- Projects at two other sites that were not started have been suspended

- Construction Management, Multiple prime packages, rather than use of a single

- Sitework Project for student safety & access is currently out to bid
- Demolition, Site clearance, and Re-grading of lower fields area is in final design

- Building completion project for Multi-Purpose, Library, Parking Lot and Quad is in
repackaging phase and ready to bid in October
- Building signage package is complete, out for proposals
- Administration Building entry canopy is in design phase
- Buri Buri Construction Advocacy Committee has been meeting with the Program Manager, Principal—with one Board member representative in attendance to hear concerns and share feedback to the Board
- Parkway projects status-
- 6 Portables on lower site have been vacated and are not needed—they will be
removed and the area cleared for PE use
- Construction fencing not needed is being removed
- Modernization of the existing 10 classroom wing is beginning design
- Site work will include parking and drive paving at the West Campus area,
completion of the pickup and plaza area at front of school
- Campus painting to coordinate with new buildings is set for summer 2017
- 6 Portables on lower site have been vacated and are not needed—they will be
- Buri Buri and Parkway—coordination with District Facilities to ensure weed abatement and general site cleanup are completed prior to opening of school
