This free event is open to the public and South City Veterans, their family members, and caregivers are encouraged to attend. I will be representing the CPUC and sharing information on how to save on monthly utility bills and tips to prevent falling victim to utility-related scams. I’ve also arranged for the California Telephone Access Program (CTAP), a CPUC-administered program, as well as the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) to host resource tables. Through CTAP, California residents who have difficulty hearing, seeing, speaking, remembering, or moving can receive a free specialized phone and/or phone accessory. CSLB will provide resources on hiring licensed contractors and avoiding bogus contractor-related scams.
This event will be held Thursday November 10th from 10am -2pm at the VA in Palo Alto.
