Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA’s Pet of the Week: Dax

South San Francisco, CA   March 22, 2018  Submitted by Peninsula Humane Society SPCA

Meet Dax, a gorgeous three year old spayed female Torbie.  Aside from her good looks, Dax is also a polydactyl, meaning she has extra toes.  Polydactyl cats are considered lucky and in old maritime days, sailors kept these many toed felines on board ships to ensure safe sea journeys.  But Dax isn’t keen on sea adventures.  The journey she’s seeking is from the shelter to your home. Dax is social, playful and adores catnip.  Need some extra luck in your life?  Ask for Dax ID# A838825.

Other adoptable pets are available at Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA’s Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion, 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame. The shelter is open for adoptions weekdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Potential adopters should arrive at least an hour before closing time to complete an adoption. For directions and information, call 650-340-7022 or visit www.phs-spca.org.
