Bay Area Discovery Museum – Try It Truck Comes to South San Francisco Grand Ave Library June 29th

The Discovery Museum Try It Truck will be coming to the Grand Ave Library June 29th at 1pm.

On Friday, June 29th at 1:00 p.m. the Bay Area Discovery Museum – Try It Truck will be visiting the Grand Avenue Branch Library located at 306 Walnut Ave. The Bay Area Discovery Museum’s Try it Truck is an engineering lab-on-wheels that offers children hands-on learning experience using different levels of technology to explore ideas and designs.  The Try it Truck focuses on learning concepts for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. This event is free and no registration required.

Los Cerritos Elementary School in South San Francisco, CA is one of the ‘Pilot Schools Partners’. This new Try It Truck program is exciting and gives a look into the incredible educational experiences that can be found at their Museum in Sausalito. It is great learning opportunity allowing adults and children to share exciting discoveries together.

About the Bay Area Discovery Museum:

The Bay Area Discovery Museum features seven exhibition spaces and more than six daily drop-in programs for children 6 months of age to 10 years at the state of the art facility. The  Museum is located at Fort Baker, inside the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which is part of the National Park Service and offers onsite free parking.

Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  |  Sunday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum is closed Mondays unless noted.

BADM is closed on Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and for annual maintenance two weeks in September.

 

General Admission tickets include access to all indoor and outdoor exhibits, plus a wide range of daily drop-in programs.

$1 – For EBT Cardholders ($1 per family member of the household)

$13.95 – Baby (ages 6-11 months)

$14.95 – Child (ages 1-17)

$14.95 – Adult (ages 18-64)

$13.95 – Senior (ages 65+)

Become a member and visit as often as you like throughout the year, while enjoying a number of additional membership benefits. If you visit three or more times this year, a membership pays for itself! You can also apply the cost of your admission toward a membership on the day you visit!

BADM offers $1 admission to EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cardholders and their families ($1 per family member) through the Museums for All program. Present your EBT card to the front desk upon arrival – no prior registration is required. Find other participating museums.

Admission is free to the general public on the first Wednesday of each month.

BADM does not turn away visitors due to lack of funds. Families are welcome to visit the museum on a pay-what-you-can basis. To participate, tell the front desk staff that you wish to enter under the open door policy.
