School is almost out and summertime is just around the corner. It’s that time of year for parents to purchase a Summer Youth Pass (SYP) for kids 18 and younger. Sales for the SYP began today for $40 and is good for unlimited rides on any SamTrans route from June 1 through August 31, and parents save $41 compared to buying three Youth Monthly passes.
Kids can find their way to the museums, libraries, movie theaters, shopping and entertainment by riding SamTrans throughout San Mateo County and the Coastside.
The SYP can be purchased by going to SamTrans.com/SYP or by visiting the SamTrans headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The SYP will not be available on the Clipper card.
