HIP Housing has given free, long-term support to those who need it most in San Mateo County for 42 years. This is especially important now, as our county has become one of the most expensive areas to live in within the United States. The need for extra income is a common one, and renting out a room in your home is a great way to reduce costs and help your community.

Both rooms are furnished and the more expensive one includes a private bath. Shared utilities and kitchen access. Safe neighborhood, close to everything. Home provider spends free time visiting family, traveling, and hiking.

Daly City: One bedroom inlaw available in a 4BR/3BA house. Outside smoking, no pets. Rent is $1200/mo. deposit is $600. The room is furnished with a private bath and entrance. Shared utilities, laundry, and kitchen access. The home is clean and quiet, with a nice backyard. Home provider works part time and likes to read and watch television.

East Palo Alto: One bedroom available in a 2BR/1BA house. No smoking, no pets, although homeowner has a few small dogs. Rent is $700/mo. deposit is $500. The room is furnished. Light kitchen access. San Bruno: Three bedroom, 1 bath home to share with male and female housemates. Rent is $850 with an $850 deposit. Room is unfurnished. Prefer no smoking or pets, although occasional outside smoking is ok. Large backyard. Clean home although with little storage area.

San Mateo: One bedroom, one bath apartment to share. Home Provider will rent out the bedroom space. Smoking indoors or outdoors ok. No pets. Rent is $700 with a $700 deposit. Unfurnished room although the home provider may be able to help get a mattress for the housemate. The bedroom is very large. Home Provider enjoys free time going camping.
