Silverspot Co-operative Nursery School in Brisbane is still enrolling children for the 2019-2020 school year (starting August 12.)
In particular we have a number of openings in our PM program ( 12:30 – 4 PM, with extended care to 5 PM also available.)
We also still have some limited available space in the AM program ( 9 -12:30, with extended care from 8 AM – 9AM.)
We conduct tours of the school on Wed.mornings at 9:30 AM ( to book a tour: call 415-657-0142 or email tom.silverspot.coop@gmail.com .)
I am also very happy to announce; we have hired a new teacher for our PM program. Her name is Diana Ji. She is an alumni parent at Silverspot, whose son, Alex, was enrolled in the first years the school was open. Diana served on our Board of Directors as the Fundraising Chair. She designed and painted the murals, which still adorn our building. Diana started taking Early Childhood classes, while Alex attended, and earned her teaching certificate. Diana subbed for our teachers for a while, and was our first Pre-K teacher, when we opened up the program. She then took a position as the lead teacher with The City of Brisbane’s Park and Recreation Pre-K for 8 years, before leaving to teach at St. Phillips in SF in 2015.
I am very confident Diana will excel as our afternoon teacher.
