With this annual event, Soroptimist International of North San Mateo (SINSMC) raises funds in support of Soroptimist Dream Programs.
A $25 donation covers entrance to Expanding Your Horizons for one girl to engage in STEM
A $75 donation covers part of the cost of a bus to take girls to Bay Area STEM programs
A $100 donation allows organizations like HIP Housing continue their work in the community
A $500 donation helps local charities like CORA protect women from domestic violence
A $1,000 donation covers a FULL “Live Your Dream” educational grant to help a woman in need get a higher education
This past December due to your past generous support, SINSMC was able to give $7000 in “Live Your Dream” financial awards to four women. These funds will help the women continue their educational pursuits and help them achieve economic empowerment. Soroptimist North San Mateo County has also sponsored hundreds of girls for the “Expanding Your Horizons” STEM program to empower women and girls to enter Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers.
Your support during this Covid-19 shut down will enable us to continue funding Live Your Dream and other projects in support of women and girls.
