Hula Hoops Tiki Bar and Grill
2278 Westborough Blvd in South San Francisco California off of Highway 280.
I discovered this place a few years ago before COVID, it was something I wanted to go to for some time, but I never got a chance to try their food and or visit their place.
My dad and I decided to Hula Hoops Tiki Bar and Grill and we supported them with a to-go order to enjoy the restaurant-quality experience and we order the breaded Spam Bites and Teriyaki Chicken Skewers. I must tell you it was delicious and flavorful. I’d go back for more!
I also enjoyed the Mochikako Chicken and Waffles, it had a light pillow bite to your regular fried chicken and next time would try The Spam Fries and Sisig Pizza. My dad isn’t a huge fan of sunny side up like my late grandfather on my mom’s side and I am. But overall, I’d take my family back again for dine-in for gatherings, etc
Do not get their Lumpia Shanghai because it was cold, I like my Lumpias piping hot out of the fryer. 7 Mile House has better hot crispy Lumpia but it was good but be mindful of the temperature.
This place reminded me of my grandparents’ Luau gatherings in Granada Hills, California, where my mom grew up. As a kid growing up in a food-obsessed family, I wanted to let locals in SSF know my message for you is:
PLEASE support local restaurants and they need you!
And I will continue to write recipes 3x a month and 1x a month will highlight a local restaurant, ok thank you!
