South San Francisco, CA August 20, 2021 Submitted by Leslie Arroyo, City of SSF
To the readers of Everything South City,
After reading many of the comments posted to this website and to Everything South City’s Facebook page, I wanted to take the time to let you know that I, along with our City Council, am fully supportive of recognizing Childhood Cancer Awareness month in the way our residents deem appropriate, and are humbled that lighting this tree holds such a special place in our resident’s hearts and minds. Reading such passionate comments was very enlightening. Please be assured we will light Sign Hill’s tree for the month of September, along with lighting City Hall gold. I have also reached out to Jesus Pena, who will be joining me, along with others as we light City Hall on Wednesday, September 1st at 8:30 p.m.
We always appreciate hearing from our residents – your love for South City is what makes our community so great.
Sincerely,
Mayor Mark Addiego
