SSFPD Arrest Catalytic Converter Thief/ Narcotics Sales

On 08/14/21 at 05:53 PM, South San Francisco Police Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on 4 door white sedan, for various equipment violations. A records check confirmed the driver [San Francisco Resident] was on active probation for burglary. The driver advised officers he was in possession of methamphetamine as well as a glass pipe, and a BB gun in his waistband.

 

 

The driver was subsequently found to be in possession of a replica Sig Sauer BB gun in his waistband. A search of the vehicle yielded the recovery of methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a digital scale. Additionally, three catalytic converters with cutting marks and a cordless power saw were recovered from the vehicle. Officers also located an inflatable vehicle door opener tool from the driver’s vehicle and items indicative of burglary and identity theft.

 

 

The driver was placed under arrest for narcotics sales and possession of stolen property related offenses. Outstanding proactive investigative work on the part of SSFPD patrol!
