FREE Small Business Promotion – Inquire NOW!

South San Francisco, CA  November 20, 2021

Our local small businesses have taken a HUGE hit through the past 20 months and we are saddened that so many of our favorite places were forced to close, and many of them for good. While most big box stores and chain eateries remained open, it felt like an assault on our homegrown places as we witnessed door by door shuttered. It will take OUR community to bring them all back to life once again.

It is our small businesses that are the backbone of our community, they are the ones who step up to donate when our little leagues need support, to gift products and services to the never-ending requests from clubs and schools for fundraising. Plus the money we spend at local places tends to go back into our local community. American Express reportsAccording to The 3/50 Project, a Minneapolis-based small business advocacy organization, for every $100 spent at local, independent stores, $68 returns to the community. The same amount spent at national chains results in $43 staying within community borders.”

For the past 5 years or so, Everything South City has partnered with American Express and their Small Business Saturday event, which falls on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. However, AE has changed up their participation process and we are no longer working with them yet want to continue the work we’ve been doing since our inception 12 years ago – local hookups by local folksorganically grown, not corporate-owned and rally support for our own great local shops and services.

School House Deli has participated in our small business outreach in the past- Check them out!

We want to really push BIG for our small businesses this year and ask for YOUR help in doing so.
