South San Francisco, CA April 18, 2022 Press Release
The time has come to show off your talents! The San Mateo County Fair has announced that all Competitive Exhibit entries will be accepted through May 10th for the upcoming fair being held June 4th -12th, 2022. The deadlines will come fast, so hurry to our website and enter as soon as you can. Check the San Mateo County Fair website for specific entry deadlines, as department deadlines vary.
New additions to the Competitive Exhibits Program have resulted in increased opportunities for participating individuals to showcase their talents in 2022.
We are excited to announce that this year about $50,000 in money and prizes will be awarded to entrants in over 2000 exhibition categories.
We are also very pleased to announce the return of the popular Creative Home Arts and Culinary Arts departments and the creation of the Department of Innovation. The Department of Innovation will offer a unique sub-division, dedicated to makers & inventors. YOU are a maker and an inventor if you craft, build, create, design, invent, tinker, or tweak just about anything. Unlike other divisions, there will be no judging and no ribbons; it’s the opportunity for you to unleash your creativity without restrictions and share it with the Fair.
The Fine Arts Galleria, Garden Landscape, Floral Arts and Youth Exhibits, which were reduced to a few selected divisions in 2021, are back in full this year. New contests were added to all the departments so don’t wait and head to the fair website to download the 2022 contest books. Also, the San Mateo County Fair now has online exhibitor registration, where you can enter your entries and pay your balance, saving you time and money.
Competitive Exhibits are not the only way to showcase your talent at the fair; you can also become a community stage performer! If you want to showcase your band, dance routine, or any mind-blowing talent act, we are accepting performance applications now through April 30th on our free outdoor stages. The Community Stage application can be filled out online at: https://sanmateocountyfair.com/participate/vendors.
We can’t wait to see what you bring to the Fair this year!
