Loving yesterday’s tip from our friends at Plastic Free July!
Plastic bags (standard or bio/compostable) aren’t allowed in residential green or blue carts and can be avoided (or at least minimized) in grey carts.
We vote for “going naked” with all recyclables (which should be clean/dry anyway) and most organics.
Bathroom waste, covid tests, masks, and pet waste, however, really should be bagged before going in the grey cart.
Try reusing produce and bread bags for this purpose.
