FIREARMS RECOVERED / ARREST MADE – On Monday night (7-25-22) Corporal Massoni conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violations and contacted the three males inside the vehicle (who were from Hayward and San Leandro). Corporal Massoni observed marijuana inside the car in plain view.
A search of the vehicle yielded two loaded handguns, one of which was unregistered and the other was found to have been stolen out of Southern California during a vehicle burglary in 2020.
All three subjects were arrested for several firearm related charges and booked into the San Mateo County jail.
Chief Campbell commented on this incident stating this was “Another prime example of proactive policing at its best.
These individuals have no ties to the City of South San Francisco and were likely thwarted from victimizing one of our residents or visitors.” Chief Campbell then personally thanked Corporal Massoni for keeping our South San Francisco community safe.
Nice work Corporal Massoni!
thanks officer Massoni for being brave and heads up.
Great job! My husband and I have lived at the same location in SSF since 1965! All that time, I have known the SSF PD to be prompt, caring, and very professional!
Marijuana is legal tho?
You can’t drink and drive or open containers. Same rules apply to MJ
