RECKLESS DRIVING / VEHICLE IMPOUND / DRUG ARREST – This afternoon our officers observed a Chevy Camaro driving recklessly and spinning its tires in the area of Airport Boulevard and Chapman Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted and the 24 year old driver from Santa Clara was found to be driving without a license, without vehicle insurance, and the registration for the vehicle was suspended. The driver was issued a citation for reckless driving, driving without a license, and no proof of vehicle insurance. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
During the traffic stop, the 19 year old passenger from San Francisco was contacted and found to be in possession of a scale, packaging material, individual baggies of methamphetamine, several ounces of marijuana, a large amount of cocaine, and $876.00 in cash. He was subsequently placed under arrest for numerous narcotics violations, including possessing narcotics for sale, and was booked into the San Mateo County jail.
Great job to our weekend day-shifters! Way to take care of business.
