South San Francisco, CA July 13, 2022 Submitted by SSFPD
On July 13, 2022, at around 2:30am, the South San Francisco Police Department received numerous reports of a suspicious male walking in the Sunshine Gardens Neighborhood and checking the door handles of vehicles.
Vincent Gaxiola was subsequently located in the area and contacted as he matched the description provided by callers. Gaxiola was also positively identified in several video camera recordings and seen checking the door handles of vehicles.
Two victims were located and signed Citizen’s Arrest forms placing Gaxiola under arrest. A search of Gaxiola’s person and property incident to arrest yielded numerous items of likely stolen property, which included several pieces of clothing, keys to both vehicles and residences, binoculars, a golf range finder, and a residential garage door opener.
Gaxiola was subsequently placed under arrest for several theft and drug related charges and booked into the San Mateo County Jail in Redwood City.
