South San Francisco, CA December 28, 2022 Submitted by SSFPD
On December 27th, 2022, at about 12:40 PM, a South San Francisco Police Officer located an occupied stolen vehicle at the intersection of Radburn Drive and King Drive. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver intentionally rammed the stolen vehicle into a police vehicle and fled. Officers initially pursued the vehicle but terminated shortly thereafter due to the risk to public safety as a result of the suspect’s reckless driving
Approximately two hours later, the suspect and suspect vehicle were located on the 200 block of South Airport Boulevard and officers pursued the vehicle a second time as it fled. Officers terminated the pursuit when the suspect intentionally began driving the wrong way on city streets. After the pursuit was terminated, the suspect continued to drive recklessly for approximately 3/4 of a mile and caused a collision with multiple vehicles within the San Francisco International Airport’s jurisdiction. The suspect fled from the collision on foot and was apprehended a short distance away without incident.
The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old juvenile male resident of San Francisco. Two occupants of the vehicles that were struck during the collision were transported to a local hospital with non-life- threatening injuries. Any witnesses to this incident are encouraged to contact the South San Francisco Police Department
