Rumor has it that leprechauns like to cause mischief on the night before St. Patrick’s Day, and sure enough it seems that we find evidence of this every year in the library. This year, let’s try to catch them in the act!
Join us in the Makerspace to design, build, and decorate a leprechaun trap. All materials will be provided; however, you may wish to bring a small cardboard box or other container to use as the base of your trap. This fun STEM activity is recommended for children ages four and up.
To test our own leprechaun traps, we will be hosting another Stuffie Sleepover immediately following our trap-making activities. We welcome you to bring your favorite stuffed animal along to spend the night and help us with our search. Make a small trap to leave with your stuffie; come back for pickup on Saturday, March 18 and find out if we’ve had any luck finding a leprechaun!

Stuffie Sleepover
Join us for another Stuffie Sleepover – this time, we will be searching for leprechauns!
What happens in the library after it’s closed? We’ll share our secret world with your favorite stuffed animal at our Stuffie Sleepover, where stuffed animals of all shapes and sizes come to life and get into all sorts of mischief! Photos will be shared on social media for families to enjoy.
Stuffie Sleepover begins with Leprechauns in the Library on 3/15 at 4:00 PM. Make a leprechaun trap your stuffie can use on our search, and make one for yourself to take home as well! Stuffies will enjoy special library programs just for them over the next two days, until it’s time to go back home.
