Adele Cassinelli Obituary

South San Francisco, CA September 24, 2023 By Garden Chapel Funeral Directors

Adele entered this world September 14, 1929, and left us on September 12, 2023.

A lifelong native of South San Francsico, first living at the lower end of Grand Avenue and later moving to the base of Sign Hill.

Graduated from the “Old” South City High School on Spruce. Weekends and summers were spent working at the Native Son Florist in Colma. Right after Adele graduated, she started working at Bank of America (forever to be referred to as “The Bank”), where she stayed for close to 50 years. Eventually she began serving as Assistant Manager at her branch.

Adele’s mother was Amelia Foppiano, another California native and her father, Antonio Cassinelli was from a little town in near Genoa, Italy. Her Brother David (who later married Letty) completed the family. Many years later she became “Auntie Del” to two nephews, Paul (Sandra) and Steven Cassinelli. Much later becoming great aunt to Metina and David Cassinelli.

Besides the family, Adele believed she had been blessed through the years with recent and long-lasting friends whom she truly loved. She was forever grateful they were part of her life. She will be missed.

Funeral service will be held at Garden Chapel on Friday, October 13, 2023, beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by committal at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
