FEMA Flood ZonesSouth San Francisco, CA June 11, 2013
Earlier this year, certain SSF property owners were notified that their property was located in a flood zone requiring them to purchase a flood insurance policy for the protection of their property by federal law. Recently, the Public Works Department sent letters to these same property owners notifying them of revisions made to the FEMA maps and removing some of the properties from the flood zones. This revision will go into effect on September 9, 2013.
Meetings will be held on the following dates to discuss this issue and answer any questions the public may have:
June 6, 2013, 6:00pm – Magnolia Senior Center,100 Magnolia Ave. SSF
June 13, 2013, 6:00pm – Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, SSF
June 20, 2013, 6:00pm – Public Works Corp Yard, 550 N Canal St, SSF
