South San Francisco, CA January 8, 2015 Submitted by SSFPD
On Wednesday January 7, at approximately 1:39 PM, a South San Francisco resident was loading the trunk of her car in the parking lot of a business complex on the 300 block of Oyster Point Boulevard when she was approached by a male subject. The subject rubbed the front of his body against her from behind and asked her if she wanted to have sex. The female resident was not injured and was able to enter her vehicle and drive away from the scene.
On January 08, 2015, at approximately 2:19 PM, officers were again dispatched to the same location as a second female reported that a suspect matching the same description attempted to contact her in a similar manner. The suspect was detained by officers and positively identified by the victim and the second witness as the suspect involved in both incidents. The suspect, identified as 55-year-old South San Francisco resident Michael Gallagher, was arrested on sexual battery charges and booked into county jail in Redwood City.
The South City Police Department is grateful for the many calls received from people via the TIP line, which ultimately led to the capture of the suspect.
Actually they caught the WRONG suspect. they only went by description. but in video footage shows otherwise.
Keep doing a wonderful job South city P.D.
