Our Iglesia Adventista del 7mo día de South San Francisco – has partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank to distribute free food (fruits and vegetables) to our San Mateo County residents.
Every 3rd Tuesday of the month starting at 2:30pm at 540 Miller Ave. SSF
ALL YOU NEED TO BRING is proof of residence(San Mateo county) and your bags.
We are glad to serve our community through this program. God Bless You All.
Hi Jan – that post was from last year and it appears the locations do change.
*Currently, we have the SSFUSD offering free meals to all children under the age of 18, Mon AND Wed Noon – 1pm – it’s a drive thru, first come first served at Spruce Elementary and SSFHS and ECHS.
*In addition, Embassy Church, at 925 Linden Ave. is now offering food on the 3rd Sat of the month, starting at 9am
*The City has also set up a few drive-thru food pick-ups along with other organizations and hosted up at the Montessori School on Hillside. Contact Leslie.Arroyo@ssf.net for more info on the City set up.
*Also, Everything South City has partnered with the Chajinel Foundation to help ensure no one goes hungry in SSF and you can find more info on our website: https://everythingsouthcity.com/2020/05/no-one-goes-hungry-homebound-seniors-receive-free-weekly-food-delivered-to-their-home-free-thanks-to-chajinel-foundation/
Hope this helps.
