August 7th Filing Deadline for Candidates for SSF City Council

Notice is hereby given that a General Municipal Election of the City of South San Francisco will be held in the City of South San Francisco on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, for the following Municipal Officers:
Two (2) Members of the City Council to represent Council Districts 2 and 4 – Full term of four (4) years each
The Candidate Nomination period for election to the office of City Council Member opens Monday, July 13, 2020 through Friday, August 7, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. If a qualified incumbent does not file nomination papers, the nomination period will be extended for non-incumbents only, until 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
In light of COVID-19 and the stay at home order issued by the Governor, candidates have the option to receive nomination papers in person or electronically upon written request. Candidates will be required to make an appointment, practice social distancing and wear masks.  Prior to issuing documents the City Clerk or designated staff shall verify the eligibility of the candidate. Electronic submission of forms will be used solely for the purpose of review by the City Clerk’s office to process and verify candidate information and will not deem a candidate as qualified to run for office until the original documents are received. What are the boundaries for districts 2 & 4. Maybe it would be good to show all of our cities boundary’s once again. Thank you
