City of SSF Offers Workshops on Mental Health First Aid during May’s Mental Health Month

FREE Mental Health First Aid Training

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 individuals in the U.S. lives with a mental illness? One way to help educate yourself is to participate in a FREE Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA)! This evidence-based training targets the general community, especially non-mental health professionals. MHFA is for anyone who wants to make their community healthier, happier, and safer. This training will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to help someone in need.

 

Join us on Monday, May 22, or Wednesday, May 24th, for an MHFA training geared towards teaching you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among youth and adults. Lunch will be provided, and participants will be given a $25 gift card upon completion. Additional information and registration information are below:
